</p><p>Mary Whitby studierte an der Universität Oxford, erlangte ihren Bachelor-Abschluss 1974 (<a href="Bachelor#Vereinigtes_Königreich" title="Bachelor">B.A.</a>) und den Magister-Abschluss (<a href="Master#Der_Master_in_Großbritannien" title="Master">M.A.</a>) 1982.
